The act of checking a result against a reliable source, rule, or expected outcome.

Verification is the step that separates a draft from a deliverable. Choose checks that fit the risk: source comparison, calculations, names, dates, citations, or attorney review. AI output should never skip verification when it affects legal advice, client communication, or a court filing.
